I’m Maryam. I’ve recently graduated from Alliance Manchester Business School with an MBA. Previously, I’ve worked at one of the largest commercial banks in India, I was working as an Assistant Manager in the International Remittances department there. I, then, transitioned into my family business of selling chikankari embroidered garments. I joined the business to take care of the export arm, manage finances and streamline operations. During my MBA, I undertook my summer internship project with Morrisons (a grocery retailer) in the UK. I worked at the Seafood processing plant based in Grimsby. The highlight of the internship project was to present my findings and recommendations to the CEO, Mr. David Potts.
